Taking care of Red Eyes

Redness of eyes can be due to a number of reasons like eye irritation, lack of sleep or even cold. Using warm compresses can be a good option to relieve them. Also, some simple care like avoiding touching the eyes, washing hands properly, having a good night sleep etc can keep all problems at bay. If it still persists, then contact a doctor. Don't use eye drops on your own.

Having dry eyes sometimes is natural. The reasons may vary from aging, lack of water in body, some allergy, less blinking of eyes or simply environmental factors like wind.

In such situation, simply staying hydrated, blinking often and if need be, using eye drops can help solve the problem.

But, if the situation continues for long along with blurry vision or decreased vision, then you should not delay in seeing a doctor.

Check those watery eyes!

Tears are generally good as they keep our eyes well lubricated. But too much tear formation can also become a trouble. Excessively watery eyes can be due to some infection or injury and should be treated timely to prevent further problem.

Many a times, our eyes produce excess of tears when some dust or dirt particles get in our eyes. In such condition, simply washing eyes with water or using some gentle drops like rose water can work. But, in some cases, watery eyes can also be indicative of eye infection or some injury. Therefore, clinical treatment becomes necessary.
