Removing spectacles depends on number of factors
A common query
that an eye specialist gets, “Doc ,I want to remove spects”.It is a
general question but can’t have a general
answer. The answer to this question is between yes/no. Lasik surgery can
be used to remove spectacles but whether the patient can be operated or
surgery can be effective depends on
number of factors such as he /she is not suffering from high blood pressure or
diabetes. And eye spectacle number has remained stable over a period of time.

Conjuctivitis can be checked with simple precautions
If monsoon is here,Conjuctivitis won't be far away. Now what is conjuctivities-in simple words it is inflammation of eyes.
It can be either allergic or infectious. If allergic ,don't bother too much but in case of infectious type, some medicine is required.
But the catch here is, how how do you detect whether it is allergic or infectious.Well only a Doctor can tell and best is to consult a specialist.
One small precaution which can prevent onset of flu-wash your eyes atleast two-three times with cold water.

Some precautions to protect eyes while working long hours in front of computers
Computers/TV screens have become part and parcel of our life.Spending long hours in front of an electronic screen seems to have become our destiny. But how is that we work on computers and still protect our eyes.First, if you are above 40,it is preferable to wear reading glasses while working on the computers(glasses sold at drug store are ok).Secondly when you work on screens, you blink less than usual which causes dryness and water to flow from eyes.It is better to close eyes for few minutes after every one hour.
And finally eat healthy food and have adequate sleep.

Sunglasses :How to pick the right one's
Sun glasses are now treated more as fashion accessory than as an eye protection device . People have forgotten what is/was the real purpose of sunglasses. They were suppose to protect eyes from harmful ultraviolet Sun rays.People are buying Sunglasses more for looks than effectiveness. A good sunglass has UV-A and UN-B protected glasses. But the question arises how does lay man come to know whether the glasses being bought are the right quality or not.The easiest way is to insist for a labeled product and good sun glasses label will mention about UV-A and UN-B protection. Also note that the frame must be wide enough to cover the eyes , eyelids and fragile tissue around the eyes. This prevents fragile tissue around the eyelids from developing melanoma.

Tip no 9
Tip No 11
Foods with beta-carotene are like a one-two punch of health benefits! Once you ingest beta-carotene, your body changes it into vitamin A, which helps not only with good eye health, but also with a strong immune system and healthy skin. Mom always told us to eat our carrots and she was right! Nonprocessed "adult" carrots are a top source of beta-carotene but baby carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, spinach, and greens also contain a healthy dose. A few servings of these veggies a day will yield great results in your vision.
