Beware even Thyroid can cause eye diseases

Many people are not aware but even Thyroid can cause eye disease. Thyroid hormone attacks the soft tissues surrounding the eyes, causing their inflammation. Symptoms of Thyroid Eye Disease are watering eye, light sensitivity, swollen eyelid for a prolonged period of time; and most importantly retraction of eye lid. You must visit an Ophthalmologist if such symptoms are observed.
