Continuing
with the series on post operative care for eyes, today we will talk
about swelling on the face after eye surgery. The swelling on the face
is a result of the anesthesia given before operation. At times, patients
are told to keep the face down in order to avoid dizziness. When we
keep our face down for a long time, the fluid gets accumulated on the
face resulting in swelling. The swelling is not harmful and does subside
on the same day of operation itself.
