Loss of Peripheral Vision may lead to permanent damage to the eye

Generic cause of loss of ‪‎Peripheral Vision‬ is optic nerve damage from Glaucoma‬.

‪‎Eye Strokes‬ (occlusions) that block normal blood flow to the eye's internal structures, including the optic nerve, also can lead to loss of peripheral vision. A stroke or injury also may damage portions of the brain where images are processed, leading to blind spots in the visual field.
If one suspects loss of peripheral vision, see the Eye Doctor‬ for a comprehensive eye exam.

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS)

Many individuals experience eye discomfort and vision problems when viewing a computer screen for extended periods. This is known as Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). It can result in eye strains, headaches, blurred vision, dry eyes, and neck and shoulder pain. These symptoms may be caused by poor lighting, glare on the computer screen, improper viewing distances, poor seating posture, uncorrected vision problems and a combination of these factors. Regular eye examinations and proper viewing habits can help to prevent or reduce the development of the symptoms associated with Computer Vision Syndrome.

For several eye problems doctors recommend the use of some specific eye drops. While these eye drops bring relief, it is equally important to know the way to use them. While pouring the drops make sure that you aim it towards the outer corner of the eye, instead of the inner one. In order to prevent draining of the drops, put a clean finger softly at the point where the eyes meet the nose.
