Tips to Prevent Weakening of Eyesight among Children
Being well worse with the digitized world, has become the
need of the hour. And the way world is moving, we cannot keep kids away from
electronic gadgets, but we can always moderate their use. Spending huge amount
of time over mobile phones, laptops etc. is one of the primary reasons behind
increasing cases of weak eyesight among children. Studying in dim light and
genetic factors are among the few other reasons behind children wearing
spectacles at a young age. Appropriate distance must be maintained while
working on computers. Screen guards can be used on the computer screens to
protect children from its harmful rays. Further, if this (spending time with
gadgets) is interspersed with kids spending time outdoors, the eye’s will get
time rejuvenate limiting the damage caused by these gadgets.

Wearing specs among children is a common sight nowadays. The main reason for weak eyesight today is excessive watching of television, use of mobile phones and computers. Apart from this, lesser interest shown by kids in outdoor activities and exercises can also be listed as the reason for weak eyesight. For the well-being of your child and especially their eye sight it is necessary to keep a check on time they spend with electronic devices as excess time spent on these during formative years may affect the vision badly as the person grows.
