Like in every surgery, in corneal transplant too, there are certain tests that a patient need to undergo before the surgery. These include blood sugar and visual potential test of eyes. In addition, ultrasound of the eye is also done to ensure that the patient is fit for the transplant procedure. Only upon these reports being ok, can a person be operated.
